Teen allegedly linked to online child exploitation networks to undergo psychiatric evaluation

A teenager from the Western Cape who was arrested for alleged links to extremist online child exploitation networks, has been referred to the Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital for mental evaluation.

The 16-year-old has made his second appearance at the Malmesbury Magistrate's Court.

The district surgeon has recommended that he be referred for mental evaluation.
