A*STAR launches S$150m study to track 5,000 adolescents' health, development over five years

A S$150-million study over the next five years will examine how growing up in Singapore shapes the health and development of young people. A*STAR will work with the Education Ministry as well as other research and public sector partners. Researchers will study factors such as mental health and digital habits, with findings expected to inform future youth policies and clinical guidelines. Around 5,000 adolescents aged between 10 and 24 years old will take part in the first-of-its-kind study. Sabrina Ng reports.
