Comrades Marathon | Runners make final stop at Expo before Sunday's race

Excitement is building in Durban as thousands of runners descend on the Comrades Marathon Expo ahead of Sunday's 99th edition of the ultimate human race.

From collecting race numbers to last-minute shopping and meeting fellow athletes, the Expo is the final stop before runners tackle the gruelling up-run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.

The race's total prize purse exceeds R8.2 million.
