FAO official: China's poverty fight 'a great success'

China's efforts in poverty eradication have been praised by an official at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Benjamin Davis, speaking at the Global Poverty Reduction and Development Forum in Beijing, called China's eradication of absolute poverty by 2020 "one of the great success stories of the 20th century." But Davis also flagged a growing challenge: how to keep young people from leaving the countryside. #PovertyReduction #SustainableDevelopment
