KYIV MARKS 35 YEARS OF UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE
Ukraine is marking 35 years of independence, as European leaders gather in Kyiv to show their support and announce billions of dollars in additional aid. The celebrations come as Russian attacks continue across the country.

NEW EU AID PACKAGE FOR UKRAINE
The European Commission has approved another 6.1 billion euros in military support for Ukraine, aimed at strengthening air defenses and providing missiles, ammunition, and radar equipment. The package comes on top of 16 billion euros from previously approved procurement plans.

ZELENSKYY SIGNS NATIONAL PANTHEON LAW
Ukraine is creating a National Pantheon in Kyiv to honor figures important to its independence and statehood. Poland is concerned it could include members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army linked to the World War Two era Volhynia massacres.
