NPA expresses concern over Joe Sibanyoni case

The National Prosecuting Authority says it is deeply concerned about the handling of the case involving alleged Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe 'Ferrari' Sibanyoni after the matter was struck off the roll in the Kwaggafontein Magistrate's Court last week.

The case was removed from the court roll after prosecutor Mkhuseli Ntaba failed to appear in court despite an order requiring his attendance. The NPA said it is reviewing the circumstances surrounding Ntaba's absence and the court's decision, adding that it intends to re-enrol the matter.
