Middle East tensions: IDF says strikes on southern Lebanon in response to attacks from Hezbollah

Hezbollah has confirmed overnight strikes on Israeli troops in Southern Lebanon. The Iran-backed group alleged that it was in response to an infiltration attempt. Israeli forces also launched airstrikes and drone attacks on the same region. Lebanon's civil defence agency reported that 16 people, including one Lebanese soldier, were killed.
