The ANC is set to make the official announcement of its mayoral candidates at the launch of its 2026 Local Government Elections Manifesto this weekend.

On Saturday the party will announce its mayoral candidates and on Sunday, launch the local government election manifesto in Diepsloot.

Political Analyst Professor Ntsikelelo Breakfast says the ANC's support at local government level has declined significantly in recent years.
