SADC's population of 400 million big enough market to sustain inter-regional trade: Amb Seokolo

On Day 2 of the SADC Foreign Ministers' Retreat at the Kruger National Park, the bloc will reflect on the impact of global geopolitical events on the region.

DIRCO's Ambassador Tebogo Seokolo says intra-regional trade remains too low even as trade between South Africa and other SADC member states constitutes about 80 percent of its trade with the continent.

He says the manufacturing capacity of other SADC member states will be central to the success of SADC's Ten-Year Regional Indicative Strategic Plan
