Trump says going to hit Iran "very hard" after Tehran attacks US military in Jordan

"We're going to be hitting them very hard, because it's our turn to hit them," said US President Donald Trump on Iran after Tehran launched an attack on the US military in Jordan on Wednesday (Jul 29).

Trump also said he was briefed on a drone attack on tankers off Egypt.

The US military has since launched what it calls "powerful" strikes on Iran, marking the first strikes after a nearly week-long lull.
