Rescue efforts intensify as global aid comes to Venezuelan quake victims

International aid is arriving from South American neighbours to help victims of a 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude quakes that rocked north-central Venezuela on June 24.

Some residents have been buried under rubble for over a day now as local first responders currently lack the heavy machinery needed to move building rubble.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has pledged $5 million in aid to help with food, water and health care for the affected.
