Sudan war drives 650,000 refugees in South Sudan towards hunger crisis

Sudan’s war has pushed more than 1.4 million refugees and returnees into South Sudan, where more than 650,000 refugees are running out of food, the World Food Programme warns.

With 10 million South Sudanese already food insecure, WFP says resources only allow assistance for about three million people, and rations have been cut to 50 per cent.
