Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader Oburu Oginga has defended his recent controversial "Benevolent Dictatorship" remarks, claiming his critics have blown the comment out of proportion for political mileage. Oburu claims he did not advocate for authoritarianism, but simply urged President William Ruto to be firm in executing key decisions of his administration for the country's greater good. This even as the Opposition continued to sustain pressure on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) over the handling of next week’s Ol Kalou by-election, calling on the commission to put its house in order.
