It's one of the quandaries of modern economics. Unemployment figures show unemployment dropped in May to 4.4 percent and more than 40,000 new jobs were created. While it's good news for employment there are concerns it adds fuel to an economic fire that could prompt the Reserve Bank of Australia tip towards raising interest rates at its August meeting. Also buried in the new figures are job vacancy rates. They're headed down - a signal that there could be tougher economic times ahead. South Australian employer MyModular makes modular electrical systems for building sites and managing director Mark Fahey says getting skilled labour like electricians is as difficult as ever but their modular systems mean it's a little easier than it is for most.
