The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has filed a motion of no-confidence in National Assembly Speaker, Thoko Didiza, after she declined to oppose President Cyril Ramaphosa's urgent interdict application aimed at halting the impeachment process, over the Phala Phala matter.

The Impeachment Committee had resolved to oppose the President's application, but the Speaker has been criticised for not protecting the independence of Parliament
