Death toll in Nepal flood disaster rises to 1 003

The death toll from the flash floods in Nepal has now crossed 1 000, even as more than 3 000 people remain missing or unaccounted for including six South African nationals. Nearly a week since the disaster hit, Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah says the floods were driven by climate change and has urged the international community to take action.
