Rising diesel prices are tightening the squeeze on South Africa’s commercial-vehicle sector.

The National Automobile Dealers's Association says fleet owners are responding by delaying purchases and keeping vehicles on the road for longer.

The association says for fleet operators who depend on heavy trucks, delivery vehicles and buses, diesel remains an unavoidable cost.
