The Western Cape Cape High Court is expected to hear further testimony of Yannick Adonis, who is on trial with alleged alleged underworld crime boss Nafiz Modack and 13 others. Adonis is facing several charges, including his alleged involvement in the 2019 failed hand-grenade attack at the home of the late Anti-Gang Unit Detective Charl Kinnear. The top cop was shot and killed at his home in Bishop Lavis, in September 2020. The state alleges that Adonis and co-accused Amaal Jantjies orchestrated the attack on instructions of Modack.
