Adv Malesela Teffo is still banned from practicing law: Ignatius Briel weighs in

Director for the Legal Practice Council in Gauteng, Ignatius Briel says the process to get re-admitted to practice law is lengthy and disbarred Advocate Malesela Teffo is still banned from practicing law.

This comes after Teffo appeared at the Johannesburg High Court yesterday during the attempted murder trial of alleged crime kingpin, Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four others where he told the court that he believes there has been gross violation of the accused's rights.

Briel says for somebody to be readmitted after suspension, they would have to firstly serve a formal application on the LPC, which Teffo has not done.
