*Retired Hawks head, Dr Godfrey Lebeya, has told the Madlanga Commission that he does not have a relationship with convicted drug dealer, and alleged kidnapping kingpin, Timmy Marimuthu.

*The Section 89 Impeachment Committee has rescinded the nomination of Advocate Thandazani Madonsela as its chief evidence leader. This after President Cyril Ramaphosa complained that Madonsela may be biased, given that he had terminated the advocate's appointment to the Judicial Service Commission in 2022.

*Both grades of petrol will increase by one rand thirty-four cents per litre at midnight.
Diesel prices will rise by between two rand ninety-three cents, and three rand fourteen cents a litre.

*Zambia's President Hakainde Hichilema has been sworn in for second term after a disputed election.

*Pitso Mosimane is officially Bafana Bafana's new head coach.
He replaces Hugo Broos, after the Belgian led South Africa to their first World Cup knockout-stage appearance.
