Acting National Police Commissioner, General Puleng Dimpane, has pledged to act decisively against corruption and wrongdoing within SAPS ranks.
Dimpane has presented the Estimates of National Expenditure, the 2026/27 Budget, Annual Performance Plan, and Strategic Plan, to Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Police.
She told MPs that the SAPS will prioritise the fight against organised crime and gender-based violence, using technology to tackle crime more effectively.
Dimpane also committed to fully implementing the recommendations of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, and those of the Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee.
ActionSA MP, Dereleen James, joins us now. She is also an Alternate Member of the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations made by General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
