Russian asset seizure law: Legislation gives govt powers to confiscate property

Russia’s sweeping new asset seizure law comes into effect on Tuesday. It gives the government powers to confiscate bank funds and physical property of Russian citizens living abroad. The legislation targets dissidents, journalists, and activists and expands the Kremlin's crackdown on critics of the Ukraine war.
