Egypt's 'new pyramid' in the perfect spot: expert

How does a mega-project like Egypt's central business district (CBD) in the New Administrative Capital rise from the ground and become the country's "new pyramid"? CGTN Digital reporter Shen Shiwei spoke with Yuan Hao, former chief engineer of the CBD Project at China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), who witnessed Egypt's future city rise from drawings to reality. Yuan also noted that Egypt's Iconic Tower, the tallest building in Africa, sits in the perfect spot, adding that every country, especially one on the rise, needs a landmark and defining structure to showcase its determination to modernize.
