National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Nyandarua Woman Representative in the National Assembly Faith Gitau have called for unity and dialogue among Kenyans ahead of the 2027 General Election. The leaders, who held a public forum with grassroots leaders from Kipipiri and Kinangop in Nyandarua County, said political decisions should be guided by the interests of ordinary Kenyans and the need to unite the country, rather than the personal interests of politicians. Meanwhile, Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja and a section of lawmakers from Kakamega County have warned politicians against using goons and gangs to disrupt public meetings.
