India and Russia are looking to diversify and expand bilateral trade, with Russia expressing readiness to host an Indian Exporters Forum at the next annual summit.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said the forum would give Indian exporters an opportunity to showcase their products, exchange ideas and explore ways to increase exports to Russia.

President Vladimir Putin specifically welcomed the initiative, signalling a fresh push to strengthen India-Russia economic ties.
