UAE pulls out of OPEC, OPEC+

The United Arab Emirates will withdraw from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the wider OPEC+ alliance effective May 1, 2026.

Energy and Infrastructure Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei says the move reflects a long-term policy shift aimed at greater flexibility in energy cooperation and meeting global demand.
