Divisions have rocked the Kenya Kwanza camp in the Mount Kenya region over calls to split the populous region into West and East. While Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku insists on Mount Kenya East charting its own political course, Energy Principal Secretary says the voting bloc must remain united behind President William Ruto.This even as State House Head of Special Programs Dennis Itumbi challenged Kirinyaga County residents to break away from the traditional political alliances of Mt Kenya East and West and chart an independent political and economic course ahead of the 2027 General Election.
