Europe turns to carbon capture: Denmark’s Greensand project aims to cut the cost

Wildfires sweeping across Europe this summer have intensified calls for urgent action to meet climate targets. The EU is placing some of its hopes on carbon capture and storage technology, which traps CO₂ and injects it deep underground. The technology is costly, but a new project in Denmark hopes to change that.
