Fire destroys popular Bali restaurant Chez Gado Gado

Diners and staff were forced to flee after a fire tore through a popular beachfront restaurant, Chez Gado Gado in Bali, on Sunday (Aug 30).

The blaze at the Seminyak restaurant is suspected to have started after a balloon came into contact with a candle flame during a birthday celebration, police said. The fire spread to the restaurant’s thatched roof and rapidly engulfed the property, taking firefighters more than two hours to bring under control. #bali #indonesia #fire
