"Cat" Matlala will know on 1st July 2026 if plea and sentence deal holds

Tenderpreneur Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala appears before the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court today, after the State separated his Medicare24 case from his co-accused.

The matter centres on the alleged irregular awarding of a R228-million SAPS contract to Medicare24, a company linked to Matlala, with senior SAPS officials, including suspended National Police Commissioner Fanie Masemola, also implicated.
