Officials arrested for alleged medication theft

Gauteng Health Department has sent a stern warning to officials involved in criminal activities such as selling the department's medication to residents.

It says this has had dire consequences for both the department and patients. This comes after three female officials were arrested on Friday, allegedly for stealing medication for the termination of pregnancies.

Gauteng Health Spokesperson Steve Mabona has applauded law enforcers for their swift apprehension of the suspects and says internal processes will now unfold.
