SASSA beneficiaries urged to switch to Black Card as deadline looms

If you are still using a SASSA Gold Card, there is now just one day left to replace it with the new Postbank Black Card.

The deadline is on Monday, 31 August, and Postbank says there will be no further extension.

The Gold Card replacement programme has been running for months, but thousands of beneficiaries may still be relying on their old cards to access their grants.

The Black Card replacement is free, and beneficiaries can collect their cards at designated issuing points.
