Russian athletes return to global competitions after IOC lifts suspension

Russian athletes are slowly returning to global competitions after the International Olympic Committee provisionally lifted its suspension and withdrew its recommendation to restrict Russian and Belarusian athletes. However, there will be no blanket return. Individual international sports federations will decide whether athletes can compete, meaning participation will vary across different sports.
