Residents of Ekhandane, an isolated village in northern KwaZulu-Natal are clinging to the possibility of change as political parties campaign ahead of the local elections.

Promises of running water have repeatedly failed over the past three decades, leaving locals cautiously optimistic over whether this election may finally bring the change they long for.
