The uMkhonto weSizwe Party believes its selected competent and ethical leaders to stand as the party's mayoral candidates in six metros across the country.

The party announced its mayoral candidates during a media briefing in Durban earlier on Friday.

Party leaders say this followed a rigorous selection process.
