TRIM shifts focus to removing rail freight barriers

The Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager, or TRIM, says the signing of access agreements with 11 private train operators is only the beginning.

The focus has now shifted to removing the operational and regulatory barriers, that have historically constrained rail freight from safety approvals and route readiness, to the condition of rail infrastructure itself.
