Mpumalanga taxi boss, Joe "Ferrari" Sibanyoni, has shared details of an attempt on his life in 2006, amid power struggles at the South African National Taxi Council.

He said the aim was to force him out of the taxi industry.

Testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, Sibanyoni implicated late taxi boss Jothan Msibi, as the mastermind behind the attempt.
