Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is set to hold talks with his close long-term ally and Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin on Saturday. This, as the Belarusian leader ordered a surprise combat readiness inspection, on the heels of CIA Director John Ratcliffe's unannounced trip to Moscow.

KHERSON RESIDENTS URGED TO LEAVE BEFORE WINTER
Residents of Kherson in southern Ukraine have been urged to evacuate their homes. Local authorities are pushing for residents to relocate ahead of the coming winter, amid constant shelling from the nearby frontline.

NORWAY MOURNS KING HARALD
Norway’s King Harald died on Friday at the age of 89, after 35 years on the throne. He had been receiving treatment for a rare blood condition over the past week.
