A bridge along the Trishuli River in central Nepal was swept away after a massive flash flood hit the region on Wednesday (Aug 26).
According to USGS, the sudden flood, possibly triggered by a glacial collapse near the Nepal-Tibet border, caused river levels to surge by up to nine metres in just 30 minutes. The torrential waters destroyed over 35 bridges and damaged major roads, with search and rescue operations ongoing downstream. #nepal #nepalnews #tibet #flood
