Quebec provincial election underway amid U.S. trade war

Quebecers will head to the polls Oct. 5 for a provincial election. Voters have a choice to give the ruling Coalition Avenir Québec another term or change things up with the Quebec Liberal Party, the Parti Québécois, Québec Solidaire or the Conservative Party of Quebec amid trade tensions between Canada and the U.S. impacting several of the province’s key industries.
