The Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Criminality, Political Interference and Corruption in the Criminal Justice System, also known as the Madlanga Commission, has postponed Wednesday's hearing until Thursday.
This comes after it received a medical certificate indicating that the expected witness, Suliman Carrim, will not be able to give evidence today as he is confined to bed.
In another development, the Madlanga Commission's witness, Brown Mogotsi, filed an application requesting that evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson be recused.
Brown's complaint also includes being "labelled as a guilty person" and a "State Agent".
Brown is also requesting that this information be put on record.
The Commission will return on Thursday with another witness, not yet named.
To talk to us about the latest developments at the Madlanga Commission, we are joined by Professor Everisto Benyera, Professor of African Politics in the Department of Political Sciences at Unisa
