China’s humanoid robot race takes centre stage in Beijing

China’s push to dominate humanoid robotics was on display in Beijing, where the World Robot Conference and World Humanoid Robot Games were held side by side.
The events showcased robots performing a range of tasks and offered a glimpse of how the technology could develop. But while China is investing heavily in the sector, some analysts remain sceptical about the pace of progress and its real-world applications.
