CCTV footage in Gyirong, Tibet captured people trying to flee seconds before a massive mudslide engulfed the border crossing between Nepal and China on Wednesday (Aug 26).
At least 22 people are dead and hundreds of tourists missing, including tourists from countries including India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Malaysia.
Initial reports suggest that an earthquake in the area could have triggered an avalanche and caused the floods, Nepal's foreign minister Shisir Khanal said.
