Jeju police officer arrested for falsely closing missing person cases denies allegations

A police sergeant in South Korea has been arrested over allegations he falsely closed the case of a missing Jeju woman whose body was found months later.

The officer has denied the allegations, which include falsely closing another missing person case and deleting police records.

Police are now reviewing all 298 missing person cases handled by the officer, with about 10 reportedly suspected of being falsely closed. #southkorea #jeju #koreanews
