HUNDREDS FEARED DEAD IN NEPAL AFTER QUAKE AND MUDSLIDE
An earthquake followed by a massive mudslide devastated a province in Nepal, on the border with China, with hundreds of tourists and locals feared dead. Officials say at least 17 people have been killed as entire villages, roads, bridges, and power stations were swept away shortly after 8 o'clock local time on Wednesday morning.

SWEDEN AND POLAND PUSH EU TO USE FROZEN RUSSIAN ASSETS
Sweden and Poland want the European Union to again consider using frozen Russian assets, worth some 200 billion euros, to help Ukraine’s war effort. The scale of Ukraine's needs is enormous, especially ahead of the coming winter.

ZELENSKYY AWARDS MUSK ONE OF ITS HIGHEST HONORS
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded Elon Musk the Order of Liberty, Ukraine’s third-highest state decoration. Ukraine seeks further access to Starlink to be enabled over Russian territory to allow Ukrainian drones to penetrate further into Russian territory.
