Residents decry construction of Riruta - Ngong Railway line

A section of residents of Karen Estate in Nairobi City County want the government to reconsider the construction of the Riruta - Ngong Railway line and instead prioritize dualling the Karen - Ngong-Kiserian highway. Through the Karen Langata District Association, the residents question why the decision to construct a railway line was never subjected to public participation. They said the construction of the railway line is more expensive than dualling the Karen-Ngong Road, which will have a higher economic impact.
