Atteridgeville residents demand action over raw sewage crisis

Residents of Extension 19 in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, say they have had enough of living with raw sewage flowing through their yards and streets.

They say the problem has persisted since they were moved from Brazaville in 2017, despite repeatedly reporting the failures to the City of Tshwane.

Some residents say the conditions have become so unbearable that they have had to send their children away.
