Dozens injured after rare tornado rips through village in southern France

At least 41 people were injured and hundreds of homes damaged after a rare tornado ripped through Pomas, a small village in southern France, on Monday (Aug 24). The tornado struck as thunderstorms swept across southern France following an intense summer heatwave. Weather officials said it was unusually powerful for France, with winds likely reaching 200kmh or more.
