US country music legend Dolly Parton dies at 80 | DW News

The country icon Dolly Parton has passed away, her family said in a statement. Born in 1946, Parton began performing and composing music at a young age. She released 49 studio albums and more than 100 compilation and collaboration albums over a decades-long career.
