Dag to return to court in November

The case against a politician in Cape Town who has been accused of hate speech and anti-semitism has been postponed to the 2nd of November for legal representation in the Equality Court, sitting in the Western Cape High Court.

Mehmet Vefa Dag is the President of the Truth and Solidarity Movement in Cape Town.

He is also standing as a Mayoral Candidate for the City of Cape Town in the upcoming Local Government Elections.

The case was brought by the Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies after Dag allegedly posted several defamatory statements on social media about Jewish people a few years ago.
